Cindra’s POV
The moon-drenched path to the temple shimmered under my feet. The castle was as quiet as ever, as cold as I’d ever felt it. I looked ahead, setting my jaw. The Azers were more than a few steps ahead of me. All of them were dressed in their finest, sparkling with jewelry purchased from Erupting Eclipse. I set my jaw and looked down at the billow of the gown I was wearing. It wasn’t one of the gowns that Kalinda had picked out in town but some other red dress she had brought to me after her mother took all my clothes.
The only nice thing I was wearing was the necklace Helio had bought for me. I hadn’t taken it off since he gave it to me. That was probably the only reason I still had it.
