As we climbed up the mountain, I got more and more pissed off.

‘Damn you, Aaron! When I catch up to you I am going to beat the ever-loving s**t out of you!’ I swore.

Of course, my ex-Beta, maybe-Beta, whatever-he-was didn’t answer.

‘You asked for it,’ I growled.

To hell with this, I thought to myself, tired of being belly-deep in heavy, wet snow. I was an Alpha. I could get those two to turn around and come back with one big howl.

Taking a deep breath, I let out a long, loud Alpha howl. Just as I opened my mouth to do so, however, Aira looked at me in abject horror.
