Aspen’s POV
We played all afternoon. Then, finally, Helio said, “I’m sorry, children, I need to get back to the castle. Boring grown-up stuff.”
The children voiced a disappointed, “Aww,” as one.
“But, I promise to come back soon,” Helio vowed.
“Yay!” came the children’s response.
Kalinda and I also said our goodbyes and headed out to go dress and fabric shopping. If we didn’t like what the dress shops had to offer, we could always have a few dresses made.
“Oh, I like that one,” Kalinda said, pointing to a beautiful blue dress with shimmering transparent fabric draped over the top of it that was sitting in a shop window.
“I’m supposed to be wearing red now, remember?” I laughed.
Kalinda shrugged. “It’s good to keep Helio on his toes.”
“I keep him on his toes, don’t worry,” I grinned.
