Jack’s POV
“Stupid Aira. Letting the mate bond cloud her judgment,” I grunted, stomping down to my father’s office.
My father was, thankfully, sitting alone without advisors or dignitaries or anyone else bothering him.
I walked in and closed the door.
He raised his eyebrow. “Jack? Is there a problem?”
“I think Knox is trying to marry Aira for the wrong reasons,” I blurted out. “I’ve spoken to him several times. He can’t give me a good, solid reason why he actually likes Aira. And the last time I spoke to him one-on-one, he told me all royal marriages are political. I don’t know why, but I’m fairly certain he’s after our timber and is just accepting Aira as part of the package.”
He listened closely and nodded along while I was speaking.
“I don’t think he really loves her, Father,” I concluded.……
