It's been two weeks of avoiding Rani. I couldn't bare to see her. How couldn't she see that we can be together? What make her think that? Don't she know I'll do anything in my power to be with her? She's my love, my life, my soul, my everything. I would give her everything that she wanted. I would give up my title, my status, my wealth; I even loose my life if that what she wants. Nothing else matters but her. She's the love of my life. I guess this is mostly my fault. Showing my love for her wasn't enough. I should of told her that I love her as well then maybe she wouldn't of questioned our relationship.
Right now I'm in a meeting with the neighbouring pack. I think they called red blood or night blood or whatever they called. All I know is that there's blood in their name. I don't care really, even though I should as I'm going to rule over them once I'm king. My parents are also in the meeting. Having their input to sorting out about the recent rogue attacks this pack are having.
"You're majesty, we don't have enough man power to keep the rogue out of our pack. My warriors doing what they can to protect my pack but we also need them to protect the children and elderly and dose who ain't able to fight. I'm ashamed to say but we're desperate. We need your help" the alpha pleaded.
"That is why we are he alpha Derek. We're here whatever you need" my father said respectfully.
"Tell us what you need and we do whatever we can to help" my mother added.
"If you can, we need more warriors if you have some to spare to help us deal with the rogues and possibly some healers for the injured?" Alpha Derek requested respectfully.
"Of course. We have plenty to spare. How many warriors and healers do you need?" My mother asked.
"About 20 to 30 warriors and 10 healers my queen" alpha Derek said.
"Done. We send word back for your request" my father said like it's nothing.
"Is that it now? Can we go now" I said getting bored with this pointless meeting. My father gave me a disapproving look. I grumbled. For goddess sake it's been two days I've been staying I this pack and it was a long trip getting to the pack. It doesn't take two days of discussion about rogues attacks and asking for help. It doesn't help that I'm exhausted. I haven't slept since arriving to this pack. Both my wolf and dragon won't let me rest with their constant nagging. They want to go back to our pack. They desperately want to go back to Rani. They tell me that we need to go back. They think I don't? There's nothing more than I rather be to be back to Rani but at the same time I can't bare to see her. I'm still hurt to what she said about our relationship. I know I'm being stubbornly strupid but I can't pass the feeling betrayed by her; so ignored them and blocked them. I just need to rest for few hours to myself, it isn't much to ask for.
"If there nothing else to talk about then no need for me to stay here" I said simply.
"Prince Rudra, we still need to discuss about the damages to my pack and the finances for it to build it back up" alpha Derek said sheepishly. For f**k sake I don't need to be here for that. That's why my parents are here.
"I don't see why I need to be here for that. You can discuss that with me parents" I said dismissively. Alpha Derek was fidgeting nervously.
"Of course prince Rudra" responded nervously.
"Don't be rude Rudra, it's your responsibility for the safety for all packs. That is why you are here" my father gritted out.
"It doesn't take two days to discuss about rogue attacks, father" I said with annoyance.
"It takes how long it need to be Rudra. This how it is. You'll be doing this once you're king. So I suggest you get use to it" my mother interject, coming in for my father's defence. Getting fed up with this conversation, I got up and left the room without saying another word to me parents.
I headed to my room to get some rest cause I'm extremely exhausted and I need sleep desperately. As I was on my way to my room, a few female shifters looking at me with their flirtatious eyes, whispering and trying to get me attention by waving at me, fluttering their eyelids or showing their cleavage. They think that they are being sexy but I just find it repulsive. I know their type, they think plastering on make up and wear seductive clothing would get men attention. Hoping being beautiful will help them but that just pessimistic. However, they got nothing on Rani. She doesn't need to try. She's naturally beautiful just way she is. Always light up the room wherever she walks in. My Rani, my shining star. I miss her so much and wish she's here with me. Just her present alone make my day ten times better. I hope she's ok. I told the guards to keep an eye on her when I'm gone. I hope they are watching her.
I made to my and slumped straight onto the bed, facing the ceiling. I close my eyes to get some shut eye but no, both my wolf and my dragon won't let, to my disappointment. I tried to block them out but they won't let me. Can't I just have a minute of peace? Then I heard a soft voice in the wind.
"I'm sorry" it whispered. Wait is that Rani voice? It sounds like Rani voice. Maybe I'm delirious from a lack of sleep. Then all of a sudden, I felt pain all over my body. I also felt panic and hopelessness but it's not my pain. Who could it be? Then my necklace glowed. Weird. That never happened before. Then it it me; it's Rani's feelings I'm experiencing. She's in trouble.
"LEAVE NOW. MATE TROUBLE" both my wolf and my dragon roared in my head in unison, causing me to have a slitting headache. This is the first time they actually spoken to me. Without a second to spare I leap out of the window and transform in to my dragon, without telling my parents that i left, and headed back to the pack and go to Rani. Hoping I get to her in time.
I flew fast than I ever flown before to get to Rani. Panic going through me. It didn't take long to get to my pack. When I was close to the pack, a glowing light caught my eye. I was drawn to it; so I went towards it and landed next to it. I transformed back to my human form and walked towards the light. When I got close, I noticed that it was a dagger. I recognise it. It was Rani's dagger but what is it doing here? And if the dagger is here then where's Rani? The dagger was glowing red then it was floating and started to move towards the woods. I followed it. It was moving fast and going deeper into the woods. I kept up it pace, following it to whatever direction it is going. It wasn't long until it stopped. It was hovering above a large bolder then it vanished. The bolder looked like it was blocking something. I moved it with ease. It was a door. I ripped it hinges off and threw the door away and took my horror, it was Rani slumped on the ground. The hole was too narrow for me to get to her so I summon my flames to lift her out of there and put her in my arms. She was lifeless.
"Who done this to you?" I whispered to her. I holding her to my chest tightly. This is my fault. I'm so sorry my pretty little demon.
