Chapter 14: Riding The Visious Dragon

We were back in Rudra's bedroom and his flames had died down. However, he didn't put me down.

"Uh swamp beast, what are you doing? you can put me down now" I told him, however, he wasn't listening to me. Instead he walked towards the bed and he lifted duvet cover off and put me in. He took off my shoes, along with his then he scoot me over so that he can lie next to me. He put the duvet cover over us and then Rudra pulled me close to him, facing each other. Our heads on the same pillow.

"Thank you" Rudra whispered softly.

"For what?" I questioned.

"For being by my side even though I don't deserve it" he said sincerely while stroking my cheek. His hands was rough but warm. It felt nice.

"Anytime swamp beast" giving him general smile. He smiled back.

"Did the big, bad beast just smiled?" I playfully gasped. He just rolled his eyes.

"Don't tell no body, got a reputation to keep hold of" he jest. I actually laughed wholeheartedly. He growled playfully. He pulled me a little closer and he rested his head nip of my neck. I can feel his hot breath on me. His arms around my waist.

"What are you doing Rudra?"

"What you think I'm doing? I'm taking a nap" he replied like it was obvious.

"You're tired?" I asked suspiciously.

"Yes. Sleep Rani, you must be tired from earlier today"

"But I'm not tired though" I whined. Oh goddess I sound like a child.

"Sleep" he demanded gruffly. I huffed but I obliged and I closed my eyes. I could he Rudra snoring softly and the next thing I knew sleep took over.

We must of sleeping for a while cause when I woke and looked over at the window, the sky was starting to darken. I looked around the room and I realise that Rudra wasn't here.

"Rudra?" I asked sheepishly but there was no response, so I got out of bed and went to the bathroom to see if he was in there.

"Rudra?" I asked again as I walked to the bathroom. To my luck he was there either. Hmm ok where could he be? I thought. I walked out the bathroom and went left the bedroom. I went straight to his study to see if he was there. Once I got towards his study, I open the door and walked straight through it without knocking. When stepped in he was there either.

"Where hell are you Rudra?" I thought out loud. Feeling frustrated.

"I'm right here" he whispered in my ear which I jumped and squealed from the sudden voice behind me. Rudra snorted to my reaction

"You scared the life out of me Rudra" I snapped, while I was catching my breath. He snickered.

"It's not funny dimwit. I could die of shock you know" I scoffed. He actually laughed at me. That got me mad so I punched him real hard in the chest.

"Oooff. That hurt" he groaned. Rubbing his chest.

"Good cause that wasn't funny" I huffed.

"Sorry. Come here" spreading his arm out for me to come.

"No"

"Come here" he repeated.

"No" I huffed again.

"Please? I said sorry" he said sincerely with a pout on his face. I shook my head, being defiant. He beckon me to come.

"Please?" He begged, giving me puppy dogs eyes. Damn it. I can't refuse now. Looking at his gorgeous ocean blue eyes of his.

"Fine" I grumbled. Walking over to him. He pulled me towards his chest and wrapped his strong arms around me. I sniffed him and felt like peppermint and chocolate. Huh! that's new WHen did he start smelling like that? I wondered.

"You're an asshole" I mumbled.

"I know. I've been a bad beast" agreeing with me, while he was rubbing my back with one hand the other hand was stroking my hair.

"Where were you anyway?" I asked, looking up at him.

"The dungeons" he said bluntly.

"Let me guess, you were having fun with Branston?" I accused. Rudra growled.

"Yes" he grumbled. I thought so.

"I also went outside so that I can shift into my dragon so that he can release so steam" he added. Oh I forgot he has his dragon now, since his birthday that I can't remember some how.

"Oh really? Can I see him? As I don't remember witnessing your transformation"

"Not sure. I'm a bit tired after I shifted back. Maybe tomorrow?" He suggested. I frowned.

"Pretty please? Think of it of making up to me for scaring me half to death" I begged. Fluttering my eyes at him and giving him a pout face for good measure. He signed while rubbing his face.

"Fine" he replied defeatedly.

"Yay" I cheered. Clappying my hands while, jumping up and down on my tippy toes with excitement on my face. He just shook his head at my excitement. He grabbed hand and lead me outside to the back of the pack house. It was nighttime now. When we were outside, he turned to face me.

"Stand back. I don't want to hurt you or squashed" he mused the last part. I just shrugged and took few steps back. Once Rudra was satisfied that was at a safe distance, he started to transform into his dragon. Smoke started to come out of his body and his flames surrounded him and I saw that his skin started to transform into scales. It only lasted a few seconds until I saw huge, red dragon with flecks of gold to it. I was in awe of how gorgeous his dragon was.

He leaned down and c**k his head to the side. Suggesting that I climb on to him.

"Really? Are you sure?" I asked hopefully. He nod. I squealed, not containing my excitement. He lowered himself down so that it would be easier for to climb. He looked over his shoulder to make sure that I was secured and once he was satisfied with that, he spread his huge wings and took off into the night sky. He flew above the clouds and I lifted my arms out wide; enjoying the wind in my hair.

"Whoohooo" I shouted out and enjoying the moment. Rudra blow out sparkes from his mouth. It was beautiful and sparkly. He also breathed out fire a few times. It was awesome. After a while of flying, he dive down towards the pack house. Once we were close enough, he slowed down and landed on the ground with a thud. He bent down for me to climb off and after that he transformed back to his normal self with his clothes still in tacked and started walking over to me. Did he always do that? I wondered. If he did then I don't remember him doing it.

"Did you had fun, my pretty little demon?" He asked hopefully.

"I had a great time. I could honestly say the best time of my life. Thank you swamp beast" I grinned at him.

"Good. I'm glad you had fun" he replied, giving me a warm smile. He took my hand and walked back inside silently and went straight upstairs. However, our peaceful silence didn't last long cause when we made it upstairs, his parents was waiting for him. Oh goddess, what do they want now? Can't I have one day without them ruining it thought to myself.
