Chapter 12: Meeting Her Fiesty Demon

I watched Rani transforming. Blackness was slipping out of her, her face was sharpened, her eyes turned pitch black, her fangs extended, and there was horns coming out of her forehead on each side, black and purple flames surrounded her whole body. However, what intrigued me was the power that she was possessing. It was radiating off from her. I never felt so much power coming out of a person before. The only thing that I wanted to say. Just one word.

"MATE" me and my dragon said unison. Then Rani spoke but was not just her own voice; it was almost like more demonic side of her, as her and her demon was one.

"MATE" she repeated, staring at me. She's my mate. My pretty little demon is my mate. I knew it.

"Apologise" she commanded. Wait she want me to apologise?

"Just like you, I don't like to repeat myself. Apologise" she replied. Wait She's not Rani?

"Rani?" I whispered softly.

"No I'm not Rani. I'm her demon. I have no name nor gender" they hissed. Ok not a she but that doesn't bother me.

"Where's Rani? Is she ok?" I asked.

"She's with me and she's fine. She's just resting at the moment" they answered.

"Good. I'm sorry" I said. They seems pleased with that.

"Your my mate?" it's wasn't a question, I just wanted to say it.

"Correction, I'm your dragon's mate as her wolf and your wolf are mates" she explained. Wait she knows she has a wolf?

"Yes I know Rani has a wolf. As I'm part of her too" they said. Oh goddesses don't tell me she could read my mind too.

"Yes and again I'm part of her" they replied, getting annoyed. Well excuse you. They just glared at me.

"Sorry. It's a lot to take in" nervously said. When did I ever got nervous? Am I going soft?

"You're not going soft. You still my sexy, sociopath dragon so calm down. And even if people think you are, its not like anyone would say anything to you unless they're asking to get torturedby you" she responded. I need to stop forgetting that they could read my mind. She snorted.

"So you think I'm sexy, my petty little demon?" I teased. They just gave me blank stare.

"Is that the only thing you heard?" They said, c*****g an eyebrow.

"Only thing that was important" I responded. They just stared at me. Not looking pleased.

"You're one weird dragon swamp beast"

"But I'm your weired dragon" I cooed. They just smirked.

"And I'm your pretty little demon" they smirked back. My goddesses they are beautiful. I'm one lucky beast to have them as my mate.

"Thank you, I know" they said playfully. And full of themselves too. I just rolled my eyes. Then out of nowhere, a ball of black and purple flames hit my face. Good thing I'm fire proof and lucky it didn't hurt.

"What was that for?" I grumbled.

"That was for your comment you just said, asshole" they snapped.

"Oh what a feisty mate I have" I teased. They huffed but I saw a sly smile on the corner of their lips.

"It's a good thing that cute otherwise I would of burn that smug face of yours" she mumbled.

"Cute? I'm not cute. What happened to sexy?" I grumbled. They snorted.

"You can be sexy and cute" they cooed. I just huffed and pouted. They laughed at my pouting. They strut up to me and wrap their ams around my neck; I wrap my arms around their waist. They stared at me with their black eyes.

"Ok your my sexy, handsome beast" they said softly. I grinned. They gave me a kiss on the nose and they put their forehead to mine. I nuzzled their nose which they smiled. They have a beautiful smile. We stayed like this for a moment; are flames intertwined together. I felt at peace and I think they felt the same cause they hummed to the feeling to are flames.

After a moment of peaceful silence, they leaned back.

"I got to go now swamp beast" they said with remorse in their voice.

"Do you have to go so soon?" Feeling emotional all of a sudden. Goddess what is this little creature doing to?

"I'm afraid so, I can't stay in this form for long. I got to give back control to Rani" they said apologetically. I just nod of understanding.

"You have to promise me something. It's important" Oh mother of all dragons, what is it?

"You can't let Rani know that we're mates, we'll not yet" they said sadly. I frowned.

"Why not? She has the right to know" I asked concerning.

"I know she does but not yet. She's not ready yet. She's not of age for it and more importantly, it's for her own safety" they answered with a remorse look on their face. Another secret I got to keep from Rani. I hate keeping secrets from her. They going to be the death of me.

"Fine, I won't tell her" I said feeling defeated. They cup my face with their small, warm hands and looked me dead in the eyes.

"Hey, not all hope is lost. Unlike her wolf, who she has to wait until Rani becomes of age, we can still see each other. All you you have to do is think about me and I'll appear" they reassured, stroking my cheeks with their thumb.

"Really? Anytime?" I said feeling hopeful. They nod with reassuring smile. I was grinning now. They just giggled at my reaction.

"Also she won't remember this conversation. She'll be confuse to just what happened" they stated.

"Ok" is all I said.

"Also, apologise to her for having a go at her" she said leaving me no room for discussion. I just nod to them. They smiled at me.

They nuzzled me one last time and the next thing I know black and purple flames wrap around them and once the flames vanished, along my own flames gone as well; Rani retured back to her normal self. She looked at me with confusion on her petty face.

"What just happened?" She asked.

"Your demon took control" I answered Matter of factally. She looked shocked.

"And you're not surprised nor livid about that?" she said, looking skeptical at me. I just shook my head.

"Ummm ok" is all she said, unsure of herself.

"They did say one thing though"

"What's that?"

"They think I'm sexy" I said wiggling my eyebrows.

"Is that all they said?" She questioned, raising an eyebrow.

"Well no. They also said I should apologise to you for my outburst" I sheepishly said while rubbing the back of my neck.

"Well ok then. Apologise" folding her arms across her chest.

"I'm sorry" I said sincerely.

"Thank you, I accept your apology" she smirked. I just rolled my eyes. She giggled. Rani started to leave my room but before she could reach the handle, with werewolf speed I went block her way.

"What the hell Rudra? Why are you blocking my way" she said shocked.

"Where are you going?" I rushed.

"To my room to freshen up after the training. I'm sweaty and I smell" she said like it was obvious and looking at me crazy. Oh is that all? I sign with relief. She doesn't need to leave for that and I love her smell.

"You can fresh up here. I don't mind" I said sincerely. Now she just looking at like I've grown two heads.

"You want me freshen up here? In your room?" She looking at my suspiciously.

"Yes" I said bluntly.

"Ok, thank you?" She said sounding like a question. I just shrugged.

"I could also help you freshen up" I smirked. She c****d an eyebrow at me.

"For my outburst today" I explained.

"And maybe you can tell what happened at training?" I added, feeling hopeful. She was in thought.

"Ok you can help me and I'll tell you what happened today" she accepted. I grinned like a cat got it cream. She laughed at my expressioned. I love her love her laugh. I could listened to it all day and still wouldn't get enough of it. I picked her up bridle style, which she yelped and headed to the bathroom.

"What are you doing Rudra? I'm more than capable of walking to the bathroom by myself" she hissed, trying to wiggle her way out of my arms.

"Just making it easier for you. I'm sure you're sore from all that training you done today" I replied. Keeping her firmly in my arms so she doesn't move. She just huffed, crossed her arms over her chest and pouting. I chuckled to her behaviour and headed to the bathroom with my pretty little demon in my arms.
