Chapter 7: Preparing Rudra's birthday celebration and having a altercation.

I haven't seen much of Rudra since I found out about the engagement situation and I know that he's been avoiding me except when he gives me a flask of blood every morning but even then he barely pay attention to me. He didn't even mentioned about the rogue incident. To be honest I didn't even knowledge him taking me back to the pack, I was so exhausted after killing those rotten, filthy rogues but goddess I felt good taking out my anger and frustration on them. However, since that day Rudra stop me from doing my daily routine with him; he just let do what I want. However, I can feel his present. I know he's watching me everything I do. So the last few days I've been doing some reading in the library, like reading, and doing training with Marco. He had been a huge help with controlling my demon side and being very supportive for me about my mental health; always listening to me and never judge me in past few days.

Today I'm at the training grounds with Marco and practicing defence and offence.

"Rani, remember to always when you're in altercation, you want to avoid punching with your fists this will usually end with you breaking your hand. This is because there are many small, fragile bones in our hands that can easily break. That is why using your elbows, and your knees at close range are ideal" he explain while looking at me closely.

"kicks are also effective when striking your attack because you can keep your opponent at bay. The legs are longer than the arms, so you have a longer striking range. As a result, you don’t allow your opponent to get close to you. Legs are also much stronger than arms, so you can do some serious damage if you learn how to throw a proper kick. Kicks are especially effective when you are kicking a man's groin"

I must say, Marco is excellent teacher. He is patient and he explains things easily to understand. We've been doing this for an hour and now we finished for the day. I was going to head upstairs to my room when Marco called out to me.

"Chipmunk let me walk with you" he shouted out.

"I'm just going to my room to freshen up Marco" I stated.

He just shrugged, picking up his stuff and running up to me. Marco lifted his arm so that I can hook around it and he walked me to my room. When we walked up to my bedroom door, wanted to ask him something.

"Marco, why do you always insist that you escort me to places that I needed to be?" I wondered.

"Just wanted too. I just want to make sure that you are safe whenever you go. I'm just feel very protective of you and I just want you to be safe" ment every word he said and truly mean it.

"Feeling same thing about you too" being truthful and nudge him with my shoulder. He nudge back and kissed me on the temple and left. I walked in my room and went straight to the bathroom to do my bissness and freshen up. It's Rudra's birthday today and I have to get ready for it.

Once I'm done, I went out and help prepare for the birthday celebrations, even though it's my birthday too and I normally have a day off but hey I don't mind to be honest. It's going to be a big one because this is the day where Rudra is finally going to get his dragon and everybody is excited about it including me. I'm interested what his dragon will look like. I was busy helping with the decorations when I heard few omegas workers gossiping.

"I'm excited to see what the prince's dragon looks like" said one of the omga.

"I bet he's dragon looks sexy and huge" said the other omga.

"I over heard a rumour about the prince's have a special guess that would be coming to the birthday celebrations" one of them whispered.

"Oh tell me. Who's the special guest" the other one said excitedly. The omega scoot closer and looked around to make sure no one was listening.

"Well I heard that the person is a lady who is betrothed to him" she said in hush tone. The other one gasped.

"Really? She so lucky" being shocked.

"And being in her shoes" she added. Seriously? She wants to marry the guy who torture people for fun? She's crazy, I thought to myself.

"I don't think I want to marry someone who torture people for the sake of it" the first omega said being skeptical. Saying the words out of my head. Glad I'm not the only one who thinks that crazy. The other one just shrugged and continued with the decorations. The continued gossiping while I was busy helping getting ready for the birthday celebrations.

It's been about three hours I finished helping preparing for tonight celebrations and I was heading to the kitchen to get myself a drink. While I was busy drinking someone knocked my drink out of my hand.

"Want the hell" looking over someone who knocked my drink.

"Oopsy daisy, looks like you got butter fingers" one of the woman from the royal guards.

"What is your problem?" Getting pissed.

"You don't know what you mean?" Saying innocently.

"You know what. You deliberately knocked my drink" I snapped.

"You really want to know"

"Yes because I didn't done anything to you" coming close to my face

"I think you don't belong here. No one want you here. You're just a curse, blood sucker, filthy, little creature who is a virus to this royal pack and you deserve to die and rut in the gutter; no one care or missed you when you're dead" she spat at me. Her friends laughed at that. I'm not going to lie, that hurt me but I kept my face emotionless. I can feel my blood is boiling.

"You know what? I'm sick and tired of people like you insulting me ever since I came to this stupid pack. I literally did nothing to deserve this kind of treatment. I didn't even give you a reason to hate me this much but I can give you one" I shouted. So I punched her right in the throat and then I grabbed her by her hair and slammed her head on the kitchen counter holding her head down so that she stayed put. I leaned over her and said

"Now you got a reason to hate me. I suggest you stay out my way if you know what's best for you" I hissed threatening to her ear. I roughly let go of her head. Her guard friends looked shell shocked and looked nervous. The women got up and wipe her blooded nose with her sleeve. She looked murderous now but I didn't care. If she want to fight then she going to get one. I'm not scared.

"You b***h. You're going to pay for this" she gritted. She was going to lunge at me until there was a loud growl that shook the whole kitchen. I didn't need to turn round to know who it is.

"What is going on here?" Rudra growed. The woman guard was paled. Her friends was fidgeting and looking a way out of the situation.

"Answer me" he boomed. Can feel his ora slipping out of him, making everyone trembled around him except me which baffle me cause his ora never affected me.

"This servant girl punched my throat and slammed me my head on the counter" she said pretended to look sad. Rudra looked at me, raising a brow.

"Is this true"

"Yes I did because she was saying vicious things to me and her friends was laughing at me" I said honestly cause I'm not a lier and I never lie. Rudra just nod. He then turned back to the women then me again. The woman was looking nervous now. She properly didn't thought I was going to be honest about it. Before she could explain Rudra lifted her by her neck and slowly squeezing it.

"You think you could insult my servant and get away with it.?" fury radiates all over him, eyes turning red.

"N-noo your ma-majesty. Never think of doing it. I-iit was mm-miss understanding" she winced, trying to loose Rudra's grip.

"You think you can lie to me?" Squeezing the woman throat more tightly.

"N-noo your ma-majesty" she chocked out.

"STOP LYING TO ME. YOU HAVE ORDACITY TO LOOK ME IN THE EYE AND LIE TO MY FACE" he roared. Now the woman is trembling. Tears in her eyes. Her friends are frozen on the spot. They couldn't move to help her of fearing of what their prince would do to them if the intervened. However, I was faze by it nor scared even though I should be. Maybe their is something wrong with me.

I looked at the petrified looking guard woman, feeling little sympathy towards her. Then looked back at Rudra. He had a sinister look on his face and I know what he's thinking. This is not going to be pretty. Rudra walked over to the counter and got out a stake knife. He then went over to stove and lit a fire while still holding the women by her throat. He put the knife on the fire. Once he was satisfied how hot the the knife is, he picked it up. He looked at her with terrorising smile on his face. Yep she's screwed.

"Open" he commanded. The women hastily open her mouth.

"Tongue out" he continued. She obedient put her tongue out, knowing what he's going to do to her. Maybe I should intervene. This is getting out of hand. So I put my hand on his arm where he was holding the knife and mind linked him.

"Let her go Rudra, she been warned by me already. This is getting out of hand now" I reasoned with him but he just growled with my comment.

"Please swamp beast, you can see how petrified she is. She knows she and her friends won't harass me again" I pleaded with him. He looked me and stared into my eyes like he is searching something. He kept searing at me few moment longer and then gave me a slight nod. He focus back to the women.

"It seems that my servant is more forgiving and wants me to let you go" he stated. There were hope in her eyes, looking great full.

"However, I'm not so forgiving" he growled. The woman face dropped. Without a second thought, Rudra swing the knife and cut her tongue out making the woman piecing scream. I signed. I can't say I didn't try to help her but what did I expect for him to listen to me. Once set mind of something, there's nothing that would change his mind. Rudra leaned in to her face, his eyes burning at her.

"Make this be a lesson to you if you ever and I'm mean ever insult what's mine, I swear to you I'll do way worse to you that you can't even imagine as the goddess and the mother all dragons will be my witness" he said with homicidal tone. He dropped her after that. He walked over to me, grabbed my arm and dragged me out of the kitchen. While he was dragging me, I looked back and saw that her friends was helping her up and take her to the doctor's wing.

Rudra dragged me to my room and push me in with him, closing the door behind him. He was staring at me but I was annoyed with him.

"You didn't need to do that to her. I've already threatened her not to mess with me" I stated.

"I know, I heard everything" he replied matter - of - factly.

"If you heard everything then why did you asked about?" I hissed. He just shrugged like it nothing. I huffed to that. He looked over me and pointed to the bed. I turned round to see what he was pointing at and what I saw was a gold box with red ribbon wrap around it. I looked back at him except him to tell me what it is.

"Open it" he demanded. So I did and what I saw blow me a way. It was a dress. Not an ordinary dress but it was a navy blue ball gown dress that sparkle like little stars, with it was a pear of navy blue earrings, a necklace with a blue gem in it and a pear of high heels shoes that has little blue studs all around it so that it goes with the dress.

"Wear that tonight" he commanded. With a smile on my face, I wanted to thank him but he just left. He never buy clothes but right now I won't over think it. I can finally say that I'm excited for tonight celebrations and can't wait to wear the dress. I'm going to enjoy myself and I won't let anyone ruin it.
