Rudra
"Who done this to you?" I whispered to her. Holder her tightly to my chest. This was all my fault. How can I be this stupid. There was blood, dirt and bite marks covering all over her body. She has a claw park on her left eye. I can see her veins was black and it was spreading like a spider web. I was so focus on her limp body that I didn't notice a snake sliding up my leg and bit me. It sting a little. I rip the snake off of me and crushed it's head with my foot. Luckily I'm immune to poison and my leg was already healed. I looked into the hole, where the snake crawled from, and saw that it was full of poisonous snakes and spiders. They wasn't ordinary snakes and spiders but enchanted ones. I thought they were banned and destroyed centuries ago? This is very odd. So I use my flames to burn the creatures until they were ashes.
I looked back at Rani. She was lifeless in my arms. I put my ear on her chest if I can hear a heart beat. I could hear it but it was very fate. I slice my forearm, blood was oozing out, and put it on her lips. Hoping it will heal her but I got nothing. She wasn't latching on. So I opened her mouth and squeeze the blood, from my arm and poured it in her month. I still got nothing. My blood was just dripping out of her mouth. So I use my flames, to help her heal but to my utter shocked, her skin started to blister. I automatically extinguish the flames. Now she was covered in burns and bite marks. I made her worse. She needed medical attention immediately. I release my wings and stretching it out, and took off with Rani in my arms. I made it to the pack house in record time. I went straight to the doctor's wing and barged in.
"SHE NEEDS MEDICAL ATTENTION NOW" I roared out, shaking the room I the process. The medical staff jumped in shocked of my outburst but they quickly composed themselves. They looked at Rani. They looked horrified of her state. The nurses took Rani out of my arms and put on to the hospital bed and quickly got to work. While the nurses was busy examining her, the doctor looked up at me.
"What happened to her, your majesty?" The doctor asked as they were treating Rani's wounds. I recognised the doctor. She was the same doctor who treated Rani when she collapsed on me. I felt a little relieved.
"I found her in the woods. She was bitten by poisonous, enchanted snakes and spiders" I rushed out. The doctor's eyes bulged out.
"Enchanted snakes and spiders? I thought those were extinct?" She gasped.
"That is what I thought" I agreed with her. She looked over her body with questioning look.
"How did she got these burns?" The doctor asked suspiciously, pointing at Rani's body. I looked away guiltily.
"I did that. I thought my flames will help her heal but clearly I made it much worse" I regrettably said. I thought the doctor would look at me with disappointment but to my surprise, she gave me a thoughtfully smile.
"I see why you think that would help, prince Rudra but this case, this is different as she was poisoned by the enchanted creatures, it will be difficult for us to treat her. How long has she been like this?"
"I'm not sure" I replied honestly.
"This is going to be tricky" she said More to herself than to me.
"Why?" I asked desperately. My anxiety going through the roof.
"It will be hard for me to treat her cause I don't know how long she been in this state. If she got attracted today then it's possible for us to treat her but if it was more than a day then it'll be much more difficult to treat her" she said apologetically. I frowned.
"There must be something you can do? Anything? I can't loose her" I said feeling hopeless.
"I'll do everything in my power to treat her your majesty but it will be a difficult process" she said patiently.
"That's all I ask for. Tell me what you need from me and I'll do it" I said honestly. I can't loose Rani. There's so much I wanted to say to her. To apologise to her for letting my pride got the best of me.
"Thank you prince Rudra. That would be much appreciated" she said greatfully and with that she was back treating Rani.
*******************************************
It's been two months. A two f*****g month that Rani hasn't woken up with hardly little improvement. During that time I've been staying by her side; afraid that if I leave her for just second that she'll go. I hope everyday that she'll wake up. I want to see her beautiful hazel green eyes open. I want to hear her voice. I miss her firey attitude, her sassy remarks when I piss her off. Her teasing me just to annoy me when she's bored. I just miss her. I'll give everything for just for to wake up, even if it was just a minute. So I did that I thought I wouldn't do, ever. I started praying to the moon goddess and the mother of all dragons.
"Please goddesses, bring my Rani back for me please. She doesn't deserve this. Spare her life. I can't live with out her. She's my soul, my life, my anchor, my light, my everything. I can't loose her. I won't loose her. Don't take her away from please, please bring her back" I begged desperately to the goddesses.
"Please bring back my Rani. I begging you. I'll do anything to have her in my arms. I can't promise I'll change my ways but I'll try my best if it means that I get her back. I'll even give up my own life for her. I just want her back. I'm not strong without her. Please don't take her life away from me. If you do then I'll join her and we could be together in the next life; that's how much she's mean to me. This is how much I love her. Just bring her back to me, please" I pleaded. At this state my tears threatening to come out.
I guess the goddesses heard my prayer cause I saw Rani's right hand move. Then I see that she was trying to open her eyes. I shot out of my seat.
"Doctor come quick. I think she's waking up" I rushed out. Feeling hopeful. The doctor rushed to Rani's side.
"Rani dear, can hear me? You're in the doctor's wing. Can you squeeze my hand for me?" The doctor requested. I saw Rani's hand squeeze the doctor's hand slightly.
"Very good. Can you try opening your eyes for me please. I know it's hard but I need you to wake up for me. There's someone here who wants to see you" she said softly as she gave me a wink. I gave her a side smile. Rani tried to open her eyes a few times.
"That's it Rani. You're doing good. You got this" the doctor said encouraging. Rani tried a few more times until she finally done it. I saw her eyes finally open for the first time. I felt so relieved. My Rani, my pretty little demon is finally awake.
"There's my pretty little demon"
