Rani

Sitting at the table with Rudra's parents, Raiden and her parents was very uncomfortable to say the least. Everyone was sitting around the table with awkward silence. No one saying anything. Raiden's parents sat on the queen side of the table, fidgeting in their seats. The king and queen sat in the middle, looking nervous. Raiden sat between Rudra and the king, looking uncomfortable. Rudra looked agitated sitting next to her. I just felt indifferent about this situation however, I did offer to swap seats with him but he declined. He said that I only sit next to him and no else. After a few more moments of awkward silence, Raiden's mother spoke first.

"Prince Rudra, I haven't noticed before but your necklace looked intriguing. May I ask where you got from? Or was it hand made?" She asked curiously. Rudra looked at the necklace around his neck with a smile on his lips.

"It was my pretty little demon, Rani gave it to me as a gift on our birthday" he said fondly. Looking at me in awe. I blushed with embarrassed.

"And I'm surprised that you just notice it now but yet again I didn't expect any less from you. Your only interest your precious daughter or whatever that involved with her" Rudra replied sarcastically and dismissive. The queen and Raiden's mother scoffed, making Rudra's head snapped towards them, giving them visious look. Raiden looked confused.

"Ours? What you mean ours?" Raiden questioned.

"Like what I said, as in me and my Rani has the same birthday you brainless dimwit" he gritted out. Looking her like she was the dumbest person in the universe. She frowned. Raiden's mother growled to the insult to her daughter and her father cleared his throat.

"So Rani, where did you get the necklace from? I must say that it's very detailed" he asked with interest.

"I got it from a small shop in town, where Rudra sent me to collectsomethingfor him, Alpha" replied respectful. He nodded.

"Maybe you could show me where it is sometime. When you're free of course?" He generally said. Everyone on the table jaws dropped, looking at him like he grown two heads. Rudra however, looked murderous. He put his arm around me passively, squeezing me a little to tight for my liking.

"Mine!" Rudra growled.

"She won't be showing you anything. I'll let one of my servant give you the directions for it" he said possessivly. Raiden's father put his hands up in surrender.

"I mean no disrespect prince Rudra. I just thought it might be a good place to find a gift for my beloved wife" he calmly reassured him. Rudra just gave him a short nod for acknowlgement, loosening his grip on me. His wife however, wasn't pleased what her husband said and Raiden looked utterly shocked.

"Personally I think it look cheap. You got bad taste in jewellery" Raiden's mother mumbled. Rudra eyes turned red and clenched his fist. I put my hand on his clench hand and stroking it hoping it will calm him down. It did and gave me a kiss on the temple.

"Luckily no one asked your opinion and it's seems that Rudra has no problem with it. So I suggest keep your mouth shut or I'll do it for you" I snapped. Rudra smirked. Raiden's mother sneered at me.

"That's my girl" Rudra whispered, and then nip my neck, making me blush. Raiden saw that, fury in her eyes. Her hands clenching around her fork, looking at me with disgust. I just pay no mind to her.

Luckily that's when the servants arrived with the food. It was roast beef, roast potatoes, bread rolls, roasted vegetables and gravy. It smelled divine, making my mouth water. They served the king and queen first, then Raiden's parents. When they about to serve Raiden, Rudra stop them.

"Serve Rani first, then me and that one last" he demanded and pointed at Raiden. They did what they're told and started serving me then Rudra and Raiden last. They bowed and hastily left. Everyone started eating in silence. While I was middle of eating, Rudra leaned into me. His hot breath fanning my ear.

"There's some gravy at the corner of your mouth, my pretty little demon. Let me clean that up for you" he whispered seductively. I thought he was going to use a napkin clean off the gravy but to my utter shock, he use his tongue to lock off the gravy at the corner of my mouth. I swear of goodness, I was beet red of embarrassment.

"There, you're all clean up now" he said, looking satisfied. I looked at him like he lost his mind. He just winked at me and gave me a peck on the lips. There was a load bang on the table, making everyone in the hall go silent.

"How dare you disrespect my daughter but being all lovely - dovey to that filth of a creature. I don't care if you're the royalty or not. I'll won't tolerate it" Raiden's mother breech, as she shot out of her seat, looking hysterical . Her husband tried to calm her down by rubbing her arm and back but it had little affect at this moment. Rudra eyes turned in to flames.

"Firstly, watch your tone when talking to me and what I do with Rani in public doesn't concern you, secondly, disrespect Rani means you're disrespecting me and I don't like to be disrespectful and thirdly, I have no respect for that you so call of a daughter of yours. I only marrying her for your convenience not mine" growled humacidled. Raiden mother's eyes looked went wide like they would come out of their socket.

"Furthermore, I'm going to tell you what I said to my mother. Watch your tone when you're talking about Rani or I'll burn your tongue from your filthy mouth of yours. You will show respect to Rani cause she is mine. I don't care if I'm engaged to your spoilt b***h of a daughter and I definitely do not give two shits what people think about me. The only opinion that's matter to me is Rani's and only Rani's alone" he said viciously.

"Are you going to stand there and let him talked to me like that?" She asked her husband. He looked conflicted. I can see that he wants to defend his mate but don't want to disrespect Rudra. Maybe this was a mistake to come here.

"Do you need to bring you're husband into this? Are not capable of fighting your own battles?" I retorted.

"You little s**t. How dare you speak to me like. You're a nobody" she sneered.

"I rather be a nobody than self-centered, snob b***h like you that people want to bow to your feet. Asshole" I hissed. She growled.

"Don't you dare talk to my mother like that you filth of a demon" Raiden spat.

"Maybe this best if we discuss this somewhere more private, where no one is listening" Raiden's father suggested nervously, looking at the pack members.

"This is not the place nor the time for this conversation" the king whispered yelled. The queen huffed.

"She's right though. That demon need to know her place" the queen said with venom in her voice. Rudra roared. Flipping the tabled, food and drinks splattered everywhere. His whole body turned into flames. Everyone in the hall was frozen on the spot; petrified of what to come of Rudra's wrath.

"I warned you. I warned you both to what would happen if you disrespect Rani and now you're pay" he roared so violently that the whole pack building shook and all of window shattered everywhere. The hall started to heat up by the second. Rudra flames grew bigger and brighter. People was screaming. We should of stayed in the library. This not plain sailing dinner that I hope it would be I thought. If I don't do something now, this is going to be a bloody m******e.
