I scrambled to cover myself by hiding behind the chair that Niklaus had been seated in when the door opened and a group of maids came in with their hands clasped before them and resting on their aprons.
I peeked from behind the chair and saw as they made a single file just some meters away from where I was. I counted about six of them in total, with the seventh one standing apart from them and coming closer to me. Why were they here?
“Hello, Miss,” The one that was in front said to me.
She introduced herself, but her name went over my head as I wondered what they were doing there. I was very self-conscious about my state of undress because all my flaws were obvious to everyone to see. The different marks on my body left by Niklaus and my slight baby bump that was starting to become ob……
