I opened my eyes slowly, a smile already pulling at my lips as I remembered the night with Alex. I touched my forehead where he had left a kiss before practically walking me to my room even though I told him I was feeling better. I knew that I was not supposed to entertain him because it was a very messy situation, but I couldn’t help myself. The last time I tried to get close to someone, I had been hurt badly, but after spending so much time alone with no one even taking notice of me in the mansion, it felt nice to have someone in my corner. It was strange that he didn’t know who I was and what I was meant to be doing in the mansion, but I chalked it down to Niklaus not letting him know. I didn’t know if I felt ashamed to be a secret that was being hidden or happy that I was saved……
