“Why are you just looking at me like that? Am I making you uncomfortable with my proximity?”
Yes, he was making me feel uncomfortable but not for the reasons that I was sure were in his mind.
“No, you’re not,” I replied.
He grunted and went back to the food containers. He opened one of them and slid it in front of me.
“I didn’t know what you were going to like so I got a lot of different foods for you to try out so you could find the one you enjoy more. I love Thai food myself”
The aroma of the one that was in front of me was wafting up my nostrils and making me salivate already.
“What’s this one called?”
He looked over the one that he was sampling next to mine.
“That is tom kha kai”
