CHAPTER 58
KAIDEN
I took a deep breath, trying to calm my nerves. I knew that showing interest in the pack was a big deal, especially since I had never cared about it before.
"I'm serious, Dad," I said, trying to convince him. "I want to learn more about the pack and how I can help."
Dad looked at me skeptically, but I could see a glimmer of hope in his eyes. "Okay, Kaiden," he said. "I'll let you attend the pack meeting tomorrow. But remember, this is a big responsibility. You need to be serious about it."
I nodded, feeling a sense of determination. "I am, Dad. I promise."
The rest of dinner was awkward, with Dad and I trying to make small talk. But I couldn't shake off the feeling that I was being watched. I knew that Axel was gone, but I coul……
