*TWO DAYS LATER*

Seeing Axel at her doorstep only reminded her of the events of the last time they saw and she was not ready to get into another argument of such with him.

I would not be with a man who would only be with me for ulterior motives, who only wants me for arm candy and to make a statement. I want to be with him as a mate if only he is ready to take me as his mate, to love, to hold and to cherish.

I'm not asking him to be perfect. Nobody is perfect, but the least he could do is try. Starting with him having no intention of making things work out just crushed my hopes and all the dreams I had of what being with my mate would seem like.

I made my way to the doorstep, removing my key from my purse and trying to move as slowly as possible towards the door……
