I was extremely angry by what Axel was planning on doing. It made me feel insecure but all that thoughts went out the window when I received a call from an anonymous person.

“Hello, Alethea.”

I stood there, my heart racing, as Kaiden breath could be heard over the phone.

His voice were filled with a mixture of anger and fear, and for a moment, I felt a sense of satisfaction. How dare he call me, threaten me, and think he could hurt me?

"You're going to pay for this," he spat, his voice venomous.

I laughed, a cold, mirthless sound. "I'm shaking in my boots," I said, my voice dripping with sarcasm.

Kaiden's eyes narrowed, his face twisted in a snarl. "You have no idea who you're dealing with," he growled.
