I couldn't shake off the feeling of disgust that lingered inside me. The memory of Sophia's lips on mine, her hands on my body, made my skin crawl. I had never felt so violated in my life.

Just as I was trying to process my emotions, my phone rang. I hesitated for a moment before answering it. "Hey, Mom."

"Axel, where were you?" my mom's voice was stern, angry. "I expected you to come over today. We had plans."

I sighed, feeling a pang of guilt. "I'm sorry, Mom. I had an urgent meeting with Dad. I couldn't make it."

There was a pause on the other end of the line. "An urgent meeting? What's going on?"

I hesitated, unsure of how much to reveal. "Just business stuff, Mom. Nothing to worry about."
