ALETHEA
I stood outside Axel's apartment, my mind still reeling from our previous conversation. The weight of his mating proposal hung heavy on my shoulders. Should I accept and bind myself to him for life? Or should I reject him and risk losing the connection we shared?
My thoughts swirled like a vortex, pulling me under. I needed clarity. I needed to see him.
With a deep breath, I pushed open the door and stepped into his apartment. The soft hum of the air conditioner enveloped me, a stark contrast to the turmoil brewing inside.
"Alethea?" A gentle voice called out from the hallway. "Welcome. Mr. Axel is expecting you."
I followed the maid to Axel's room, my heart beating in anticipation. What would I find? Would he be his usual com……
