As the brothers disappear from their adjoining room, Rhys and Ve stand behind the entrance. The doors, while solid, fail to protect them from the words said inside the room. Rhys doesn’t walk in, he doesn’t confront them and cause a scene, just waiting, knowing that he will always be the last to enter. He has no interest in exposing her to that when it is not necessary.
He knows them well enough to know that they wouldn’t stop the ridicule just because the topic is present, it might even make it worse.
