Ve and Rhys sit side by side at the very edge of the crowd, cold expressions on their faces as they look at the body lying on the ground, thick red liquid pours onto the mats, the life pouring away, the body is already starting to lose color as the warm body turns to a corpse in front of the crowd.
Cody stands in the middle of the ring, his arms angled slightly out from his body, his palms out, blood coating one hand with Shaw at his feet, the wound is too large. He cannot be saved even with the powerful wolf inside him. The time for revival passed before he even hit the mat. Cody doesn’t look at the life he just took. Instead he stares directly at Rhys, a silent challenge issued.
