The days I spent traveling with the scouts were filled with more laughter and stories than I’d had in years. For the first time since Atlas died, I didn’t feel entirely alone.
“We’ll reach the Moon Palace soon,” Faron said, his voice steady as we trekked through the dense forest. The sun was beginning to set, casting long shadows over the trail. “You’ll see for yourself how different it is. It’s a haven for wolves like you.”
Nyra nodded beside him, her eyes warm. “There’s a hybrid named Delilah in the palace—half witch, like you. She’s one of the healers now. Kindhearted and patient. I think you’d like her.”
I blinked, surprised. “A healer? They allow hybrids to become healers?”
“They encourage it,” Nyra said with a smile. “Healing isn’t about bloodlines; it’s about skill and heart.”
