The moment the black rogue's eyes locked with mine, everything else disappeared. My wolf surged forward, every instinct screaming danger.

"Stay back!" I shouted to my warriors. This fight was mine.
The black rogue didn't charge. It waited. Calculating. Watching my every move.
My wolf growled deep in my chest. A sound that vibrated through the forest, warning. Challenging.
"Who sent you?" I snarled.
No response. Just those calculating eyes.
