The door swung open, and Ryan was greeted by not just his father in uniform but also one of his deputies, Harold Chaney. Ryan was confused by his father's straight-laced expression. They never had the warmest of relationships, but this was his father's Sheriff-mode expression. As far as he was concerned, he hadn't broken any laws as of late. He also knew his father was looking into the crimes he was being blamed for.

He watched as his father's eyes trailed towards Britt, and they darkened.

"Dad, what is the meaning of this? Ryan demanded as he tightened his hold on Britt.

"Ryan, we are taking Brittany Price down for some questioning." The Sheriff entered the room more, granting Deputy Chaney entrance.

"For what? Did she double-park at the diner? This is ridiculous!" Ryan growled. He was……

How will Brittany get herself out of this mess? Do you think she actually did this elaborate plan of killing her own friend and sending herself text messages? Or is it more plausible that someone is framing her? Who and why? Is Ryan's accusations against his father correct? What will happen now that Ryan has severed the bond with his family? Will he be able to save Britt and himself from his family's pursuit to try and separate them? Perhaps Ryan wasn't the bad guy he portrayed this entire time.
