Dinner winds down, and the air in the room shifts, buzzing with excitement as the live band takes their place on the stage.
The lead singer steps forward, his voice ringing out as the band kicks off with an upbeat Christmas pop song. The crowd claps along, some even singing, their voices rising in joyful unison, and I can’t help but smile as I clap with them, feeling the infectious energy of the room.
Again, I let it all in—the festive atmosphere, the music, the laughter, and the comfort of the surrounding people.
Throughout dinner, I could feel Wade’s eyes on me. They were like a heavy pressure, but at some point, I grew numb to them. I focused on the conversations at my table, and Bella is hilarious, with stories about the chaos behind runway shows.
