Just like that, Laurel painted herself into someone insignificant in their eyes.
Kit tried very hard to control his expression.
"Alpha Darius is a very good person. He made sure I lived properly here and even wanted to arrange for me to get back to Silver Moon safely."
Alpha Denis was in a daze as he heard her speak. The light of greed slowly receded from his eyes and turned into dark disappointment.
