"I ended up at an abandoned park and got attacked by a rogue. Darius helped me and took me to the hospital. You must have already known that much."
Scarlett nodded, nibbling on the free stuff the waiter gave them.
Laurel honestly did not want to hide anything. The reason she couldn't speak of her life at Silver Moon was because it might change everyone's opinion about her and, secondly, because it hurts to think about it. She would rather not remember those days anymore.
"That's about it."
"How did you end up at the park?" Scarlett continued to ask.
The waiter brought their food at the right time, giving Laurel some time to think about her answer. As their food was being served, Laurel quickly made up something.
She can't say that she didn't have the money to stay a night at the hotel.
