The three of them were stunned speechless by Laurel's unexpected refusal. It wasn't easy to get over such a shock within minutes but they were forced to recover as soon as possible when they saw the girl waving at Laurel from a distance.
"Who is that girl?" Ashley asked unhappily.
"Who knows. Laurel has grown wings! She can actually talk back to me and say no!" Ana grumbled.
If there was anything Ana hated more than anything, it was none other than Laurel. If she had to choose one thing to hate for the rest of her life, it was still be Laurel.
That grown up girl was the burden she had to carry. Everyday that girl reminded Ana that she was the second woman in her husband's life. No matter how much she wanted to replace Laurel's mother after death, she wasn't able to.
Only by hovering over Laurel……
