As Darius was being torn apart with words of encouragement by his wolf, Laurel was being an attentive student with no room for mistake.
Saher didn't dive deep into any topic, lightly grazing over the same things that Darius had spoken about.
"These abilities are passed on from the previous generation to the next. Usually the parent who has the similar ability teaches their child how to control them. It gets earlier as they grow up and controlling the ability becomes second nature to them. Your case is different because you weren't given the attention that's necessary and because of that your ability took the backseat."
Laurel was inexplicably ashamed after hearing it. For some reason she put the blame for her own undeveloped ability on herself when it really wasn't her fault.
