Our entry back into Red Wood was surprisingly easy....too easy. We were all on red alert as we strode in unopposed. I led Rowan and Jenna to the hospital where my mom was waiting. Rachel and Ellie took off to go link up with Ambrose and those loyal soldiers who were willing to follow Rachel despite their fear of Cain. Their mission was to round up pack members as inconspicuously as they could to come get a small vile of Rowan and Jenna's blood as they got it from the IV.

My mom embraced me in a warm hug when she met us just inside the ER entrance. "I've been so worried about you," she whispered. "Please tell me what's going on so I don't worry myself to death next time, ok?"
