I laid on the bed staring up at the ceiling. I had devoured the steak and blood that Maggie brought me. Dez and I decided we could trust her after her kindness of bringing me my phone. Hearing Rowan's voice had brought me comfort.

I gazed out the huge window and saw the whole day had passed me by as the moon had risen. I was going to go mad being locked in this room, but I was thankful that Dimitri had not returned.

I swung my feet over the bed side and headed toward the window. I held on to myself as I looked up at the sky. I tried not to think about what my future looked like. I tried not to think more than a few minutes ahead. I closed my eyes and tried to take myself away from this place. I allowed my mind to bring me to Rowan's embrace.
