Sierra’s POV

“Breakfast is ready,” he said, his tone clipped. “Mom, the table’s set.”

Mrs. Lawrence nodded. “Thank you, Jayden. Let’s head down, girls.”

When we reached the dining room, the table was already filled with dishes, and everyone was seated, including my father.

“Good morning,” I said politely, taking a seat next to Bella.

Zoe, sitting across from me, put on her usual fake smile. “Good morning, Sierra. How did you sleep?”

I forced a tight smile. “Fine, thanks.”

The meal was a mix of small talk and tension, with Zoe’s overly sweet demeanor grating on my nerves. Still, the food was delicious—fresh fruit, pancakes, eggs, and even dessert afterward.

After breakfast, I was about to head upstairs when my father called me aside.

“Sierra,” he said, his tone serious. “I’ll be leaving with Isaac. ……
