Sierra’s POV
I gripped the edge of the seat, my nails digging into the fabric. Jealousy burned hot and fast through me, but I forced myself to look away. This wasn’t the first time I’d seen them together, and it probably wouldn’t be the last.
I closed my eyes, willing myself to let it go. This doesn’t matter. You don’t matter.
Minutes passed before they finally walked out. Jayden looked tense, his jaw set, while Zoe was all smiles, her fingers laced with his.
As they approached the car, Zoe spotted me and smirked. It was a calculated move, designed to make me feel small.
Jayden opened the door for Zoe, who slid into the front passenger seat. He glanced at me briefly before walking around to the driver’s side.
Once inside, he adjusted the rearview mirror and met my gaze. “Are you okay, Sierra?”
