“Are you deaf and dumb?” enquired Delilah with her hand over her waist and gaze narrowed at Astrid’s face. “How insincere! I’ve been talking to you about your own matter, yet you’re not responding.”
That’s when Astrid responded, “Exactly. It’s my matter. Hence, I don’t want you to intervene anymore.”
“As you wish, discourteous wench,” uttered Delilah while exiting the hut.
Astrid followed behind her to get to Stetson, who was engaged in taking down the wooden carved out statures that were used for training.
“No, stop it!” exclaimed Astrid while walking up to him.
He then crossed his arms and asked her, “Why do you insist for me to stop?”
Astrid knew she should apologise. Instead, a tear fell from her eyes and she ended up snivelling. As ugly as it looked to cry for her fault, she couldn……
