Her eyes flutter as she beheld the face of he nemesis. Her hatred intensified when she watched him grinning as the oracle unfolded his future. Even though Astrid didn't have the gift of predicting the future, she knew that the emperor was going to be in trouble.
“Long and prosperous rule! That's right! Your reign will last for a longer time,” stated the oracle.
Just when Astrid settled among the apprentices, the oracle sensed an impending threat. Thus, the expression on her face changed significantly. The emperor sensed the uneasiness in her eyes and thus asked her about the sudden charge in her countenance.
The oracle didn't take longer to relate the fear that seemed to prey upon the emperor's possibly of leading a prosperous life. She knew the temperament of the emperor. If she were to ……
