Chapter 22: Dangerous Fugitive Part 2

Dominic

We were in a room chatting about Roman's escape, Emile wasn't too happy and neither was I, I wanted to see his head on a spike at least. Emile made jokes about what it would be like once Roman was caught, but there was always a possibility if he was running around long enough, a civil war might happen because he believed he was the rightful king of Ravena. I saw Drax walk in, and he didn't look too happy, but we were ready for our orders, after all, he outranked all of us in this room. He filled us in on what was happening, we learned how Roman got out and Aidan was livid, he wanted Emile and I's blood as were the only ones with crystals to open portals. I slit my wrist after Emile so he could read our blood, which exonerated us, and he went to pass on what he knew to King Aidan.

Later, Emile and I were called to the throne room after the traitor was discovered, although we had no idea who it was. I noticed Cayden looking indifferent, while Michael remained quiet. Mia approached me after entering behind Lily and Aidan, who seemed to be on a warpath as we bowed our heads in submission before he calmed down. I kissed my wife as she sat on my lap, everyone waited and then Aidan started pointing out the traitor, I was shocked as we realized it was Lily's daughter, Princess Sophia. Prince Rowe looked panicked before Lily and her kids started to plead with Aidan, I don't think he would harm her, but these boys were double cross and didn't care if you were family or foe. Knowing that Seth set Sophia up and the things he did to her made me want to kill him myself, Amon was lucky, but Seth was a goner for sure.

After Seth was killed, Aidan looked at us, and we headed out for a brief lunch, we joked about how Roman would be when he finally faced his demons. I felt dark energy in the link, the person snickered, and Emile asked, "Did you guys hear that?" we acknowledged and continued our lunch. After a long lunch, Aidan discussed what would happen next when Lily barged into the room and yelled, "I want all of them dead, they did so much injustice to my baby," she was crying hysterically. Aidan just let her vent, and we could feel his anger because he loved Lily, and if she was not happy, then no one else was. He pulled her into his lap, and we got up to leave when he mind-linked us to stay, we just kept quiet when he kissed her and she got up. When she got to the door, he said, "Regina cordis mei, amo te et reddent pro peccatis suis," (Queen of my heart, I love you, and they will pay for their sins).

She smiled and walked out to be with Sophie and Aidan looked at us with blood-red eyes, he was furious, we all could feel it, and honestly, if I were in his shoes, I would be too. We bowed our heads to the King looking at us like he was ready for war, he looked at Ty and ordered, "Clean up that pack and if it can't be saved, wipe it out, no survivors, what Lily wants, Lily gets." I smiled as I saw Ty's evil smirk, he loved this part of his job, he was the enforcer, he didn't need to justify his rulings to Aidan, but this was personal, and it would get messy. We all had orders, and I had a few enemies on my hit list closer to my territory to deal with when I got a link from Draven, "I have Roman insight, he is on Highway Fifty-Four at a gas station on the outskirts of Elvira," I saw that the Supremes got the link and Aidan nodded for me and Drax to take off.

I couldn't believe Roman would risk trying to kill Lily, I knew he was an asshole, but he was a bigger asshole than I thought, Lily wouldn't have died anyway, he would only have pissed off Aidan further. We finally found out how he escaped and Aidan wasn't happy, someone in our camp betrayed us, and I was hoping to bite into Amon finally, I just had this feeling it was him, or it could be I was a little attracted to the traitorous elder. I was sent to handle business and investigate who had access to those stones, which would lead me to the culprit, and just when I was enjoying watching Kyan become King and finally having Roman in our grasp. Then it was snatched from us, I hated him for what he did to us and couldn't wait for his demise. I went to check on our Luna Queen to make sure her guards were on alert, we weren't sure if more traitors were in the Palace.

Michelle was asleep as she was heavily pregnant, and her guards were tripled around the area, I told Dimitri to be alert and that I would be back. I went to King Emile who was speaking with Dominic and I politely asked him to slit his wrist and pour his blood in a cup. He was confused until I told him what we had found out, and he said, "I would never betray Aidan," before cutting his wrist, so I could see his intimate memories, his memories are f****d up, he is a serious Dom, damn, poor whoever his mate will be, or she just might love it or him, doesn't matter to us. I linked Aidan saying, "It wasn't him," before Dominic gave me his blood too, before I asked everyone else in the room to oblige. They didn't hesitate to show they were loyal to the crown and pledged to lay down their lives for their true King and Luna Queens, I felt their loyalty to the crown and us before leaving.

Aidan mind-linked me, saying, angrily, "The stones belong to Amon," I smiled, "Jackpot," because I got my wish after all, he is a dead man. I was on my way to his chambers when I saw blood on his door handle and I touched it before licking it, "Aidan is not going to like this," I thought," before heading to the conference room. Aidan and Toffe looked at me as I entered the room, I said, "I got some news for you," looking directly at Aidan, I showed him what I saw when I read the blood on the door, and he folded his hand in anger before he said, "We need to handle this wisely, Lily won't like it, but there is more to this," before I turned around and walked out. After Ty killed Seth for not only betraying us but abusing Sophia, I was relieved, he was on our hit list anyway, it would have happened sooner or later but he f****d up big time.

I saw Amon with Danielle and I walked over to him, he pulled her close before bowing and said, "I knew you don't trust me, My Lord, but I meant it when I said I was wrong, and I want to make things right." I linked Danielle to leave us, I said, "You hurt us Amon, betrayed the crown, and I died with vengeance on my mind for all of you, Aidan said you are off limits and I won't do you anything, something he read in your blood." He looked shocked, and I smiled saying, "It doesn't mean I don't enjoy making you squirm now and then, I may not like you much, but you are slowly proving yourself, high elder, keep it up," I bit my lip seductively inhaling his scent and I walked out before I did something stupid. After lunch, Lily was upset about Sophie, then we got a link from Dom's stepson about Roman's whereabouts, and I was the one, sent to retrieve that son-of-a-b***h.

Draven

I was driving back to Drongomare but made a stop outside Elvira, I went into a convenience store when I heard a mind-link coming through. It was from King Aidan, "I want Roman found now, find him and KILL ESMERELDA," I was shocked and knew something had happened back in Dartmouth. My mother and stepfather were there for a business trip and I looked at my wife outside in the car, she was looking at the phone and I smiled, paying the cashier for our snacks before returning to the car. She looked at me and asked, "Did you get the link too, baby?" I kissed her and said, "Yes, I did, we just need to keep an eye out for him," my speech wasn't perfect, but I could communicate better since getting Ringo. We have three sons and wanted to try for a daughter, but we had put it off, my beautiful wife made me so happy over the years, and we had just returned from visiting human territory.

I started the car and this SUV pulled up, I saw Beta Axel, I remembered him from Roman's camp, he was his Beta, and then I saw Roman in the back seat with a woman. Axel looked at me and I linked my stepfather with the Supremes, "I have Roman insight, he is on Highway Fifty-Four at a gas station on the outskirts of Elvira." The next thing I knew, my wife screamed, they were firing their guns at us, she was hit in the lung and gasped for air. There was so much blood, I did not hesitate, I looked out the window and I breathed fire at them before they pulled out in a hurry. I didn't even remember my gun in the cubbyhole because I was panicking, my wife has a long life span because of me, but she can't heal as fast as I can. I saw Drax in hybrid mode hovering over us, and he landed healing her and asking, "Which way did they go, boy?" I pointed to where they went and he took off, Dominic looked at me and said, "Get her home," before I pulled out of there with my unconscious mate.
