Chapter 24: All Out War

King Silas

We have been a small community of shifters since the bears split from our lands, but we were still in alliance with them and also with King Kyan, we were never really fond of Roman, as he hates shifters, we could shapeshift to anything that he finds dangerous, but I have laws against that, and anyone caught impersonating anyone usually does prison time. Roman kidnapped so many of our refugees hiding from him and some of our missing daughters, we were grateful the dragon king had found some of them and returned them to us. We knew about the impending war, and we were right in the path of the rogues, we were attacked, and the bears helped us along with witches who helped protect our borders. Elijah had vampires help with the attacks and in no time the rogues were dead, we lost about three shifters who were protecting their families, and we were angry, some were injured, but we were grateful.

Elijah assigned some of his men to assist in protecting us during the war, in case of further attacks, we hope that King Aidan can defeat Roman in the most brutal way possible. Although I wished to witness the battle between Aidan and him, I chose to stay with my people, knowing we would eventually hear stories of how Roman fled before meeting his end. I noticed Lord Desi arriving with a few dragons, and he said, "King Dominic sent us to help safeguard your community." I smiled and thanked him, my son Lawrence approached and told me, "I haven't found Lucas; I hope he is safe, and made it through this." I nodded, even though he was my youngest son and had caused trouble, I still cared for him despite having to distance myself from him. I saw that the clean-up was starting to happen, and I went inside my Palace to see what was happening in Frogger Forest where the battle was being held.

I saw Jalani sitting on our balcony, she wasn't my Queen as I had lost her long ago, but she shared my bed when I needed it, I cared for her, she was a mistress who was treated better than the others. I sat beside her, and she held my hand, she said, "I am sorry it has come to this, but we knew King Roman would falter once he betrayed Aidan many years ago." I smiled because she was right, when I got the vision from the moon goddess about their transformation, I was sworn to secrecy and Lady Addison had a big role in preserving their bodies. Aidan became a good king after his father died, but Roman was consumed with power and did the unthinkable, Lawrence mind-linked me, and said, "Our borders are safe, Dad, but it's time to find Lucas," before we saw what Aidan and the others are seeing as Roman was finally going to pay for his sins.

Roman

The war had started, and I was bouncing around from location to location, to see if the book was there, I was seen by Kyan but disappeared, and then Jasper followed me a bit, but I got out of there when it was confirmed the book wasn't there. On reaching Aidan's territory, I hid as much as I could, seeing him from the corner of my eye looking for me, I couldn't wait until the witch linked me to where Addison was staying, so I headed there, avoiding all the parties that wanted my head. Ty was in the sky making it easy for me to get to his place, he had plenty of guards who were armed, but I had the witch take them out before Addy made it to the panic room, she was pregnant, and I would kill her and Ty's spawn, two birds with one stone. I could taste it, I knew she could change into her wolf, and I was ready to kill her if she didn't give me her spell book.

I knew the war would cost many lives, but I wanted to make Aidan pay for taking my kingdom from me, we could have been allies, but he was the same old person from before. I knew Addison was the only one with the spell strong enough to take them out, I should have killed her when I had the chance, and we wouldn't be here. I knew her power was limited from placing a spell around the building, I hoped Ty was distracted long enough so I could break him by killing his mate. I slowly walked up behind Addison, I could sense her fear as she looked for a way out but was trapped. I tried to convince her to give me the book, but she refused, I could feel my anger boiling, I was running out of time. I saw that crazy look in her eyes and knew she was going to jump, but I missed her by a second before realizing her mate had caught her and passed her on to King Cayden.

I pulled my gun and started shooting, but he grabbed me, and we fell off the roof together, I was trying to get out of his grip, but he yelled, "You tried to kill my wife." I felt his fury before he started punching me in the face repeatedly, and I stabbed him as we battled in the air. He screamed in agony before he put his fist through my chest, I froze as he had my heart in his hands before I shot him in the head, and we fell. He looked at me and smiled before he closed his eyes, and then I felt Drax's arm around my neck, realizing he had caught us. He removed Ty's hand from my chest carefully saying, "You won't die so easily, you will pay for everything you did to us." Aiden walked over to me with fury in his eyes and I smiled, spitting in Drax's face before saying to Aidan, "Let's finish this."

Aidan

After Roman was dropped at my feet, he knew this was over, I hated him for killing us and missing out on raising my son with Lily. Ty was still healing, his forehead glowed from the ancient symbol embedded in his forehead, I decided to tell Roman about the prophecy that he never believed in until he realized he could have had the power for himself. The fighting had stopped to witness our fight and I saw all his men who had surrendered to save themselves being chained, while others were dead. Roman looked at me in shock as it dawned on him who the Supreme Four were, he asked, "Four? But they are only three of you," I smiled saying, "One rose to the occasion," looking at Toffe, and asked, "Isn't that right, Toffe?" Toffe said, "You blew it, you could have been one of the Supreme Four," smirking at him.

"However, you betrayed us all as the prophecy predicted, it happened just the way it was supposed to, you were never worthy of this power. One thing the prophecy didn't mention, but we figured it out on our own; the first Supremes were vampires, biological brothers, they were four and tied to each other, when one dies, they all die and that's how the Supremes will always go. The original vampires are merged with us, chosen to rule for eternity, I guess you could say reincarnated, Toffe was the final brother and therefore the Final Supreme." I looked at Roman and said, "Enough of this, it's time to die," Roman said, "This is bullshit, I never thought this stupid prophecy was real." Amon came forward, and said, "The council always knew about it, we never took it seriously, and we never thought it would be Aidan as we were nowhere near the next planet alignment."

I smirked while Amon continued to say, "I suppose that's why it took them a thousand years to awaken while they were anchored; you unknowingly kept the Fourth Supreme alive, it was fate." He bowed and stepped out of the circle, Cayden delivered his judgment, and the fight commenced. His wolf Troy was the first to go, but his vampire was stubborn and stayed to the very end, I could hear his heartbeat slowing down from all the blood lost. Initially, we played with each other, I was in wolf form, but then Ty, Drax, and I grew tired of his antics, I changed back to my human form as he looked at me, and mind-linked me saying, "I'm sorry, Aidan." Looking remorseful finally, before I pulled his heart out, Ty and Drax howled in victory followed by all the wolves, and the others cheering.

I ripped his head off to make sure he stayed dead, held it high, and told the Kingdom, "Let it be known, the Supremes are back in power and anyone who wants to oppose us, do it now," before the remaining rogues bowed to us in submission. One of the omegas who was raped cut his balls and d**k off and then Toffe chanted a spell setting his body on fire. Ty sat watching his body burn and I mind-linked him, "Are you okay?" He said, "We trusted him, Aidan," I said, "I know, but we won't make that mistake again," he nodded in approval before I went over to my mates who hugged me. Dominic walked over to me and tapped my shoulder in support, he was naked, and I said, "I hate your dragon ass, why do you have these women looking at what belongs to Mia?" He turned around to see Mia looking at him with a shirt, we smiled and headed back to the Palace to celebrate our victory and later, bury our dead. I saw Barron, Emile, Elijah, and the Fae Twins smile at me, knowing that our deaths were finally avenged.

Dominic

I headed with Pax, Mia, and Draven at my side along with our men to join in the fight, we had a few traitors who chose to be on Roman's team, but we dealt with them. We split up, and I was near my mate as we lit our enemies on fire, Allan was having just as much fun as we were. Pax changed into human form because he loved killing, I always remember how ruthless he was in battle, and he raised Draven the same. Draven had it out for Roman's men since his mate was injured a few years back, and I don't blame him, he killed without mercy, and I was glad they were on my side. My twin boys joined in the fight and so did Jae, I guess he had to let off steam, so I headed out to fight alongside Ty in the sky, looking for Roman in the process. I felt a burn and turned to see someone had stabbed my wife and I said, "Heads up, Mia," as I lit them on fire while she stood there bathing in my dragon fire, which also healed her.

I couldn't believe my eyes, she was a naked beauty, which distracted a lot of the men, I smiled, knowing she didn't care, and then Marion magically covered her and I thanked her. A few minutes later, we had Roman, and it was time for him to face his demons, something he tried to outrun, but it caught up to him. Aidan told him about the prophecy and I saw the look on his face, he knew he had screwed up, especially with Toffe, he had the Fourth Supreme under his nose all that time. He tried to wiggle his way out of death, but his sentence was past and the fight began. I knew he was no match for Aidan, Ty, and Drax wanted a piece of him and who could blame them, he betrayed their friendship, loyalty, and trust. I watched Roman finally being killed and his head on a spike, we all acknowledged the Supreme Four as our rulers, and Ravena would now change.

I witnessed Roman's body consumed by flames as Allan dealt with a few enemies, although he was a menace, I loved him; he was my younger brother, whom I had raised as my own son. I walked over to Aidan after seeing him hugging his mates and I tapped his shoulder, he smiled at me, and shook my hand, thanking me for the support. He also felt embarrassed, as my not-so-little dragon was hanging around unsupervised, he asked me to hide it by bringing Mia into the conversation as I took the long shirt from her. We headed back to the Palace where we had a feast of celebration, fireworks going off, and soon, the coronation of King Aidan. I decided to stay for at least two days to help with cleanup and new laws that will be put in place for Ravena. I looked at Jae interacting with his brother and felt like a storm was brewing between us, I hoped, now that the war was over, we could find a way to better our relationship.
