Chapter 21: Dangerous Fugitive Part 1

I decided to stay for Kyan's coronation as King, Aidan was busy being a supportive mate to Lily, who was about to give birth any minute now. We were shown to guest rooms and Pax was next door to us, he knocked, and I let him in, he had a bottle of champagne and glasses, I smiled, and we decided to celebrate Roman's demise. The fireworks went off signaling there would be a new King being coronated tomorrow along with his Queen, Pax left us alone, and I looked at the beauty next to me, and she said, "I think you were right about my uncle." I finished my drink and pulled her into my arms, I said, "If he had something to do with my father's death, I swear to you, you won't be able to save him." She looked into my eyes and said, "I know, I think he set my father up to be killed, but I need something solid to prove it."

I changed the topic because if that was true our lives would have been different, we missed out on years together, but I couldn't totally blame him for that. I should have stood up to the Elders instead of imprisoning her for something beyond her control, she thought I would kill her son, and I was going to kill Pax in my anger. Now I am glad I did not, we trusted each other again, and he was my best friend, they fell in love as I did with Ruby. I was a hypocrite, Mia lost her son for twenty years and I had a family with Ruby, I will always regret what I did and the pain I caused her. I hugged my Queen as we comforted each other, I led her to bed as the sun went down, we had food sent to our room, and before we knew it, we made love before she fell asleep. I looked at my beautiful mate and I picked up my phone to see Ruby had messaged me, I smiled because she wanted to make sure we were having a great trip.

I woke up to bells going off signaling a new dawn, I could feel the excitement among the people, Mia grabbed my c**k and said, "Good Morning, lover boy." I moaned and looked at her and asked, "Didn't you have enough last night and on the plane?" She slowly pumped my c**k getting it hard and said, "I could never get enough of you, Dom, I still feel you inside me," before I kissed her passionately. After our passionate session, we went down to have breakfast, met with Aidan and the others, and congratulated him on having young Prince Kyvar. We were all excited about Kyan and the dawn of a new era in Dartmouth Kingdom, Pax joined us after finishing his phone call with his pregnant wife, I could tell he was happy, so the call went well.

At the Coronation/Wedding

I left the guys as we all headed to get ready for the event, I pushed my door and saw my wife fixing her earrings, she was so beautiful. The dress made me feel like I wanted to keep her in this room for more time alone, feeling our bond, I put my arms around her from behind, and she smiled. She said, "I love you," I turned her to me, kissing her lips, she pushed me off slightly, saying, "You are ruining my makeup," I let her go to dress quickly. We headed down to the coronation room where we saw our allies and members of the court, I saw Lexi's parents from Volterra, who were excited about her. Marion looked at me and smiled, I acknowledged her, feeling Mia squeeze my hand and kiss her cheek, saying, "No one comes close to you, my love." Pax sat next to me and I whispered, "You can leave after the coronation, I know you wanted to be near your mate at this time, you should have switched places with Desi and Raven."

Minutes later, we witnessed Lexi and Kyan exchange their vows and receive their crowns as King and Queen, cheers erupted as we followed them to the reception area. The music filled the air, and we began to have fun when I noticed a shadow, everyone looked up to see Pax soaring back to Dragonmare, his dragon truly unique and a captivating sight. He unleashed fire into the sky in celebration of Kyan and Lexi, while distant howls from his pack of wolves added to the surrounding cheers. Aidan gave a toast to the newly wedded couple and being the new King, and then I took my lovely wife to the dance floor. I saw Aidan dancing with a pregnant Michelle, she was glowing, I saw him stop, his eyes gloss over, something was wrong as we felt his aura, I saw Kyan hold his chest and they both ran out. Michael followed, and I waited to hear what was going on.

As I was preparing for my coronation in my chambers, my father entered and delivered an encouraging pep talk. I felt happy knowing he was proud of me, but I regretted that my mother wouldn't be there to see it. We decided to record the moment for her since she was still in the infirmary recovering after giving birth to my little brother, Kyvar. He left, and my siblings joined me happy, they even curtsied, which was all fun and games, I had trained to be king for a long time, so I knew I would be good at it, and I was nervous but glad my family had my back. I know Roman will die after this, and although I felt bad, he had it coming for all the pain he cost us. I was nervous as the guards led me to the throne room and met with Lexi, who was ready to be crowned Queen, as we approached, everyone bowed their heads as we knelt in front of the High Elders, who gave their blessing and started the rituals.

Our blood was mixed, and we felt the powers enter us as King and Queen. My father placed the crown on my head and Michelle placed the crown on Lexi's head, the crowd cheered as it was made official. My Beta, Fallon, and his cousin Max were given the titles Royal Beta and Gamma respectively, we haven't appointed a Delta yet, but will eventually. They pledged their loyalty to the Crown and the Supreme King and Queen, however, my father won't be crowned until after my mother is well enough for the Coronation and Luna Michelle gives birth. We walked outside on the balcony, and we marked each other again because, when I died, the bond broke, then we kissed and had our wedding ceremony in front of everyone.

I waited for my help to arrive, I needed to move, and fast, I couldn't believe they locked me in here, how did Roman not know his former friends were back? We got played, and someone in our camp was feeding them information, I heard the door unlock and I smiled, I said, "You took long enough." She gave me the crystals chanting a unique spell and left in a hurry, she was scared, I could tell, but it always pays to have a plan B. I was nervous and hoped the spell worked, I would use my bond with Roman to take me to him so we could leave here and regroup. I closed my eyes and chanted the spell our little helper taught me, I opened up a portal to Roman's cell, and he was asleep, he jumped up after seeing the light and I walked through. He smiled and said, "Let's go, we need to find Lily and kill her," I said, "It's too dangerous, everyone will be on high alert, especially with the new king being crowned."

He ignored what I said and said, "I overheard the guards saying, she is in the infirmary, she had her baby, take me there, they would be too distracted to notice." I was scared but did it anyway, I wanted my mate alive, so I did a stupid thing to show I loved and trusted him, I opened a portal for him to Lily's room. I saw Lily in her bed asleep, the baby was in a cot next to her and I saw Roman looking at her with venom in his eyes. He walked over to the baby and looked at him saying, "You could have been mine if your mother wasn't such a w***e, but I will snuff you out." He went to suffocate him and I mind-linked him, "The baby is innocent," so he walked over to Lily and got on top of her. She opened her eyes, and he started choking her, I soundproofed the room with a spell since the guards were outside.

I heard her heartbeat weakening, but then the door busted open to see Aidan staring at Roman, ready to kill him before I grabbed Roman and disappeared. We ended up outside Dratmonth Kingdom on a lonely road, I saw Axel waiting with the car and realized Alpha Seth did his job. He screamed in anger, and yelled, "Kyan was Aidan's son this whole time, that b***h, how could she betray me like this?" Then we heard the order from Aidan, "I want Roman found now, find him and KILL ESMERELDA!!" Axel drove off heading to Rogueland where we would find our people and regroup, Roman was furious and told Axel, "We needed to cross over to Rogueland fast and avoid most of his allies' territories because they would be looking for us." I held his hand as he shook with anger, he knew he had lost it all and Aidan was coming for him.
