I signed for Callie to go to my room directing where I would be, and I looked at the men when one introduced himself as Dominic, King of Dragonmare.

I was nervous, and I waited in the room for Dom to mind-link me when Draven was back, I pictured how he would look, I wanted to see my baby so badly. I hope he doesn't hate me for giving him up to save his life, I wasn't sure what Dom would do back then because I had betrayed him. We practically hated each other but now, I am seeing him in a different light, unexpectedly, maybe it was our bond growing, but I am beginning to feel things and I shouldn't be with Ruby in the picture. I would never ask him to leave his family, but could I be with him knowing that this heart also belongs to another? I got a link from Dom and Allan that he was downstairs, and I grabbed my coat and headed down the hall, running into a woman. He placed me back on my feet and placed his hand on both sides of my face, his eyes glassy as we both let our tears flow, he hugged me again. Pax cleared his throat, and we looked at him, he said, "We all need to talk," I couldn't agree more, Pax told us about his life after he escaped Dragonmare and how he raised our son. Dom held my hand and I saw how Pax looked at us, I mind-linked Dom, "I need to talk to Pax alone," he kissed my lips and I knew he did that to show Pax I was his. My son went with Dom and Allan outside, Pax said, "You went to prison for me, I could never repay you for that, Mia." I smiled and said, "I would do it again for my son," he smiled and asked, "Do you love him?" I wasn't sure how to answer it because I was conflicted in my feelings for Dominic, I said, "He is my fated mate, Pax."

Pax was shocked, but he accepted it, I asked him about the girl upstairs, and he said, "I just found out our son married a local human girl." I looked at Draven smiling with Dom, I was glad they were hitting it off, and asked, "Will you come home, Pax?" He said, "I love it here, I lost everything back home," I knew what he meant, so I wouldn't pressure him, and then he said, "The one person I would go home for, had found her mate." He touched my face and said, "I still love you to the point I never took another to bed, I focused on surviving and raising our boy, but I want you, Mia." Dom was listening in, I turned to him as he waited for my answer, I said, "I am sorry, things are different now, I have a job to do back home and rule at the King's side." I looked at Pax and said, "To answer your question, I think I do love him," I saw Dom smile from the corner of my eye before returning his attention to Draven and Allan.

One Week Later

We stayed for a week, but we had to return home, Pax decided to go home and face his demons, and Draven decided to sell this place and move there with us. I was glad because I didn't think I could leave my son here and go home, he means everything to me, however, he hasn't told his wife about us and plans to do so today as we leave tomorrow. Dom told him about the dangers in Ravena, but he didn't care, he wanted to learn more about his kind, I saw him take Callie out to explain everything so she could choose to stay or return to her father. If she chooses us, she can never return as time is different there, her father might die before she ever gets to see him again. Dom held me from behind and breathed down my neck, he said, "So, you love me," I rolled my eyes and said, "You are a jackass," before walking off to the bedroom, I knew he would never let me live that down.
