Chapter 34: Fire

Two Months Later

I woke up yesterday feeling like my old self again, Allan was on the throne for a bit, and he was furious, he hated that job, and I missed out on a lot in my long sleep. I was heading to the throne room to give my son Alen his blessing, he got married when I was asleep, and Allan performed the ritual as the reigning king while I was down. I had missed out on so much that was happening, Aidan and Toffe were in my territory meditating, and keeping a close watch on my mates and I. Aidan tapped into my energy, and we would talk and play chess in my consciousness, he always beat my ass at chess, but who was counting? Aidan eventually found his lost brother Andrew and Emile, along with his brothers, were killed, but brought back to life after a blast meant for the Supremes. I was told about Ryker's son with a siren and Aidan told me about splitting duties, and I was directly answering to him.

I saw 'King Allanmire' signing off on some papers in the throne room and saw my son, who walked over to me, he gave me the biggest hug. I loved that he loved me so much because I loved all my kids, I also saw his wife behind him with the biggest smile, she curtsied when Allan said, "Hey, I am still king over here," we looked at each other before laughing. I said, "It's time to return that power, Your Majesty." He said, "It's about time you take it back, welcome back, don't ever scare me like that, Dad," we hugged before he jumped out the window taking off to wherever he was going. I watched his dragon fly away, he always called me dad when he was scared to lose me since I raised him, I loved him the same. Lloyd, the elder, walked over to me as I looked at Persia, she knelt with Alen and I placed the princess tiara on her head, giving them additional titles, and completed what Allan started.

She was now royalty as she signed the book updating the royal family, I told them to walk with me, and we headed to the garden, Ruby was there with our daughter. Our toddler was on the grass playing with his toys, and she looked at me breastfeeding my princess, I could see that she was crying when Alen asked, "Mom, what's wrong?" She said, "I missed her birth, Dom, she could have died," my son kissed her cheek and said, "We would never let that happen." I decided to cancel my talk with Alen and support my wife, they took our son with them and I watched my daughter feed with her tiny hand wrapped around my finger. After calming Ruby down, she went inside to put our daughter down, I needed to check on Mia and head to her room, she was asleep with our son next to her, I smiled, seeing how peaceful she slept, and vowed to find out who started the fire and why.

Pax walked into my study, I smiled, offered him a drink, and told him, "Desi will run things at the company for a while, I need to take time off to focus on finding my enemy." He said, "Tell me what you need to do, Dom, I am there," I smiled because although he betrayed me with Mia, he always had my well-being at heart, I trusted Pax with my life. I told him what Aidan told me, there were no traces of who or what caused the fire, however, there was an ancient spell placed on us that kept us in the fire and asleep. Pax said, "That is odd, who did you piss off to that extent?" I eyed him and said, "I didn't cheat on my mates, Pax, I loved them, plus, Mia would burn me in Times Square and Ruby would help." We laughed because he knows my mates don't play when it comes to me and I feel the same about them.

We stayed in the study looking at old enemies and coming down the list until we reached Lord Lomario, he was already on my radar, but did he have the brains to do it? A question I asked myself, Lomario had a clan that still followed under my house rules for the kingdom, he had a few large companies that had grown over the years, and he was a billionaire in his own right. Some of his fortune belongs to Mia, but she doesn't need it since she is a Queen, Pax said, "Maybe, we could have his business looked into some more, maybe we missed something."I thought about what he said and said, "Let Mia try it her way first, she plans to befriend his wife," Pax nodded, and we changed the subject as he told me about what I missed when I was locked inside my body healing. Someone had it out for me, and they are willing to hurt my mates in the process, I need to stay on top of this and fast.

Two Weeks Later

Rimm

I was in my apartment making a sandwich when I got a call, it was my boss wanting me to meet with Princess Persia to escort her to a new location. I hated how he used her and got the guys in the clan to join in, she was a protected species and if he got caught, King Aidan would probably kill him. However, I was sworn to secrecy and couldn't say anything, he practically owns most of us who work for him. I smiled, nodding my head because I did, but wanted to say it was not right, I came and found her in the clan house before she started spying on the royal family, I admit it's quiet at night because she is not there anymore. She was always in someone's bed, or they were in hers almost every night, the mated ones would take a chance when they stayed overnight or never touched her because they loved their girlfriends or wives. Birthdays and holidays in the house were always special and ended with a big orgy, no one outside of the clan house knows she satisfies the clan the way she does, or it won't sit well with the others in the clan. I was glad that the king finally accepted my mating with Alen, Al was away on business, but we kept in touch and had phone s*x when Alen was asleep. His parents also abandoned them at a young age, I eventually got out, and he said, "Stay safe, Princess," before he pulled off, and I put my money in the bag when I heard Alamar behind me asking, "Who was that?"
