I turned to see Aremia staring at Pax shaking, her hands turned to ice, she walked towards me and knelt in front of Pax hugging him. She said, "Do what you have to do, Dom, but I will go wherever my family goes, you took my father and my home from me, and I am tired." I froze when it dawned on me, she meant the baby, I said, "Tell me it's not true," but she refused to answer, I used Theo's senses and there was no parental bond with the hatchling, she was carrying Pax's offspring and I screamed in anger grabbing her by the hair and said, "Get out of my way." I saw Pax close his eyes expecting the death blow, and I felt dragon fire hotter than anything before, I turned to see Aries, not only breathing fire, but she was now the true Queen as she had absorbed my power as the first Ice and Fire-breathing dragon, I stood there in shock, she was bigger, and her tail grabbed Pax and she flew away.

Aremia/Aries

I dropped Pax by his cave, I put up a magical barrier knowing they would come for us, I could sense it, I heard his mother in my head saying, "Come back, we can come to an agreement. Breaking the treaty will put your people in harm's way," I blocked everyone, Pax had passed out from the heat of my dragon fire, and Aremia was unconscious from her heartache in the background, I sped up the growth of my baby. the waterfall had been changed into fire, the lake frozen, and my emotions out of wack, I was racing to save my family. I roared, releasing an egg, this only happened in dragon form, I nudged it, watching Peitro healing Paxson, he woke up and looked at me, rubbing my nose, saying, "You are beautiful, Aries, but they will hunt us down, I won't let them kill you for my mistakes."

I slightly groaned, but then we heard the egg breaking, he smiled as we watched the birth of our son, Pax wrapped him in a sheet and said, "Change back and feed him." I mind-linked him, "I can't, Aremia is out, but you have to take him and go, I will handle Dominic, I won't lose you or our son." I felt Dominic and Theo, they were close, and I nudged Paxson looking at my son one last time saying, "Don't ever forget me," he ran to the back of the cave, and he changed flying away. I sat in the cave watching all the dragons gathering outside, calling for my head. I was ready to fight to the death when I saw Dominic walk through the fire, I inhaled, ready to burn his ass and he raised his hand in surrender and asked, "Where is Paxson? He will be executed, there is nothing you can do," I froze the cave in my anger, I was ready to kill him if I had to.

I felt Aremia taking over and I changed back to human form, he looked me in the eyes and I swore he looked hurt, he moved my hair out of my face. He looked behind me and saw I had given birth the old way, he looked at me and said, "The prophecy was true, you are my true mate, someone in your family has got some explaining to do about hiding you from me all these years." He nodded for us to go back, and I said, "I am not going back, there is nothing for me there," he said, "The treaty if broken, will wipe out your clan," I said, "I will go back if you leave me alone in the Palace, I won't attend anything if Ruby is there," he agreed, and held my hand taking me out of the cave. Aries said, "He is our fated mate, why haven't we picked it up before?" I said, "I don't know and don't care," I was over Dominic and would form my destiny in Palace Two.
