After our short make-out session in solitude, we headed towards the cabin to meet our ailing Philomena. I didn’t want to indulge in superficial acts of forgiveness.
I knew I couldn’t forgive her. So, I planned on being indifferent instead. Emanuel, however, kept instructing me to be kind to her.
“We’ll see about that when we get there,” I assured him, even when I knew I wasn’t planning on doing anything to make things right between Philomena and me.
As he knocked on the cabin’s door, the same scene from our prior meeting was re-enacted before me. Philomena jumped into Emanuel’s arms and squeezed him while asking him if he was doing alright.
I shot daggers through my eyes as I wanted her to leave him alone. Emanuel, on the other hand, was pretty affectionate towards her when he told her ……
