"Why would someone try to paint Philomena as the suspect? The killer could've chosen anyone," I argued.
I didn't appreciate Emanuel's persistence in protecting Philomena. On many occasions, Holly had mentioned that she had seen Philomena taking the lives of several people, including Ross and Sam. Hence, I found it challenging to rid her of my suspicions.
My words, however, appeared obnoxious to Emanuel. Accordingly, he grabbed my arm and began pulling me away by my arm.
"You're hurting me. What do you want?" I asked him in a whisper.
While maintaining a hushed tone, he told me, "I need to talk to you."
I let him drag me away to an isolated region that wasn't too far from our friends. Though Petra and the others didn't appreciate Emanuel's persistence in taking me away, they stayed quiet.……
