“Baby, wake up,” the sweet sound of Emanuel’s voice hit my ears.
His breath was like a fresh breeze that you feel at the arrival of the spring, a little cold but comforting, something that followed the right formula for waking you up.
“What is it, Emanuel?” I asked him tenderly.
“There’s someone who wishes to see you,” he said in an informative manner.
Upon carefully opening my eyes, I saw something quite shocking waiting near the cabin’s door. In an instant, it managed to wake me up.
“What are you doing here, Elijah?” I scrunched my nose.
“I’m not trying to hurt you or hold you accountable for anything anymore. Elijah clarified everything in the morning. Suspiciously, I looked at him and asked, “What trick are you trying to play on me?”
