I retired to our bedroom early. Today felt like a mess. I had made the decision to not warn Samuel of Red Woods arrival today, a decision I now regretted. He had taken his anger out on the boy which had started a snowball of a mess with Grace. The only positive from this day was my connection with Luna Jasmine. I was surprised when she requested to stay with her son vs. going home with her mate but I used it as an opportunity.

I was rather bothered by her interest in Silas though.

Even though I was rough on the boy, I loved him dearly. But that was why I couldn't show him that love, to protect him. The moment I had seen that he survived after Blood Moon murdered his parents and destroyed his home there was no doubt in my mind that he would be mine now.
