When I blinked my eyes open I was pleasantly surprised to be in Silas' arms. He had his head resting on mine. I was in between his legs, cuddled against his chest, his arms wrapped around me snuggly. He felt me move and lifted his head. He smiled down at my upturned face. My face felt puffy and stiff, from my tears.

I hummed with contentment being in his embrace when I suddenly felt the other presence in the room.

Jax.

I automatically clung to Silas.

"Are you feeling better Grace?" Jax asked softly.

I wanted to ignore him and act like he wasn't here. He was ruining my peace. But I heard him get up and sit beside Silas.

"Grace," Silas said so gently. "He's stayed with us the entire time. He's been very patient."

I begrudgingly turned my head to face Jax, keeping my body tightly against Sila……
