Grandma Elen was sitting across from me, her tea cup balanced delicately in her hand. Her sharp eyes, however, were fixed on me. It was around the time Isabella went to kitchen to grab something again.
"You’re doing better than I expected." She said, breaking the silence. "But you’re still not entirely yourself."
I frowned, leaning back in my chair.
"What do you mean?"I asked.
She tilted her head, giving me a knowing look.
"I see the way you look at Isabella, Xavier. You’re trying hard, and that’s good. But if you want to show her you’ve truly changed, it’s not just about the small things. It’s about making her feel special, like she’s the most important person in the world."She said.
"I know that." I said, a bit defensive.
