Frankie:
"Wake up, Frankie. What's wrong? Why are you so hot?" Darcel shook me, but it seemed I just couldn't get awake.
"It's our shift, and I have held off for as long as possible. Let me shift before it damages us!" My darker half hissed.
"Move." I struggled to get the words out and warn Darcel that if he didn't get back, I may harm him. I have only shared the forefront with my other half once, and while it was a smooth experience, anything could happen.
I felt my wings break free the moment I sat up. I felt the black flames licking at my skin as they broke free. My heart raced as I fell to my knees just as Clyde opened the door to see what the commotion was about.
My vision blurred with the black swirls as they, too, changed.
