I woke up to an empty house and a letter that read:

Dear Frankie,

The boy and I went out to finish buying a few things for school for both of you. Please make yourself comfortable, take a day for yourself, or explore this beautiful place more. It's okay to feel at home here. There have only been two places where I have felt at home, one of which is this place. If you go out and explore, check the shoe box on the coffee table. I think you will find these boots to your liking, and while they're not the best shoes for exploring, they made me think of you!
