Twenty-Three

Frankie:

I closed the massive velvet curtains, leaving the bedroom dark and quiet. The only light came from the full moon beams just outside the balcony doors.

I sat on the center of the old wood floors with my eyes closed, reaching out to my darker half in hopes she could help me contact Rowan or Oxnera. I still had not figured out why I had been brought to this realm or how to find Nettie and the triplets in a place with such vastness. I could spend years searching this place and still not find them.

But, as we reached out, we were met by a wall we could not break down.

"This must be Nettie's magic. She has this place closed off so that no one can locate her or the children." My darker half huffed with exhaustion from trying to break down the walls Nettie had built around this……
