I wiped my mouth, mortified. I had been living in a bubble for so long that I had forgotten these feelings of disgust—a soft knock sounded before Lisa entered the room.
"Usually, I wouldn't rush you, but your brother is seconds away from calling an ambulance" I looked at her incredulously before rolling my eyes heavenwards. Tyler is dramatic. Standing shakily, I gratefully take the mouthwash she's offering. When I feel settled, I head back to the room.
Tyler's head springs up. He rushes to me. "I'm fine, I promise," I reassured him before settling back on the coach. Lisa takes a moment to make sure I am OK to continue.
"Tiera, do you remember when I asked if you felt you had been abused?"
I nodded.
"You told me no. You downplayed her actions. I hoped my feelings were wron……
